Why we do it:

During our trips we learned that a little bit of research and preparation goes a long way. Whether we are preparing for a one day city exploration or a 3 week escape into nature – it always pays off to do the homework. When prepared we tend to use our time more effectively; we manage to see more and tend to be more relaxed and comfortable during our trips. Planning alternatives allows us to stay flexible and enjoy our time. Preparing for a trip in BC or Alberta requires detailed planning, knowledge of local conditions and in many cases English language. Some or even all of those factors may discourage some visitors from Europe and make them abandon their dream of visiting Western Canada.
